Panasonic Lumix S1H Photo Quality

You can check out the Photo Quality of the Panasonic Lumix S1H Below.

Sensor

Panasonic Lumix S1H has a 24.2-Megapixel Resolution Full-Frame Sensor. This gives the Camera an excellent and massive Dynamic Range and Clarity.

The Lumix S1H’s Sensor also has an Anti-Aliasing Filter. It gives you improved Zebra Patterns and much more convenience.

You will Love the Improved Color Science and Sharpness of the Images. Also, the Low-Light Performance of the Camera is Excellent.

The Dynamic Range and Noise Reduction allows you to take Pictures at Higher ISOs. You will rarely see Graining in your photos.

The Shadows and Highlights are Well Balanced by the Camera.

Processor

The Panasonic Lumix S1H has a Very Powerful Image Processor. It features a New and Improved Venus Engine Image Processor that helps the camera record high-quality videos.

You are going to love its noise-reduction and writing speeds.

The Camera shoots excellent Low-Light Photos to give High, Quality, Clear, and Sharp Photos. Though, you may see Smudging in a Few Low-Light Photos.

Speaking of noise reduction, Panasonic had made a few Smart Decisions regarding noise-reduction abilities.

The Camera lets you choose how much help you want with the noise reduction to avoid overcorrection by the Camera.

This gives you more control in the post-production process.

The processor also helps the Camera record high-quality 6K videos without a problem.

And the high-quality videos get written at reasonably high speed into two UHS-II SD card slots.

Lumix S1H provides you with Improved Autofocus and IBIS systems.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H has a Very Powerful Processor that gives you More Control over your final output.

AutoFocus

The Panasonic Lumix S1H has about 225 Contrast-Detection Points. Over Time, Panasonic has Improved its Autofocus Technology.

Although the Autofocus of the S1H works excellent with still photography. You may find some issues while shooting in Low-Light.

The Autofocus System works decently in video mode. Once the Autofocus locks onto a subject, it will rarely lose it.

But, it is somehow hard for Autofocus to keep a rapidly moving subject in Focus.

The Camera seems confused between a lot of heads in the crowd. So, to get the most out of the autofocus system, you should use Focus manually.

And since the Camera is made for professionals, this particular feature makes the Camera hard for beginners.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H has Decent Autofocus that can only Perform Excellently in the Right Hands.

Image Stabilization

Panasonic Lumix S1H comes with one of the Best-In-Class Image Stabilization Systems. Because of its Full-Frame Sensor, the Camera Handles Image Stabilization Better than anyone else.

The Stabilization System is a Blessing while Recording a Slow-Motion Video. The Panasonic S1H also offers High-Res Mode Photos of about 96 Megapixels.

Although, the Image Stabilization is Turned off while Taking a High-Res Photo.

Vloggers will fall in Love with the Stabilization of the Lumix S1H. Because the Camera is a bit heavy to hold single-handedly, they would need image stabilization more than anybody.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H offers an Excellent Image Stabilization System for Professional Filmmakers.

Shooting Speed

Panasonic Lumix S1H offers decent continuous shooting speeds. You can shoot at 9 FPS for up to 60 Frames in RAW and 999 Frames in JPEG.

The Autofocus of the Camera works Decently in Continuous Shooting Mode. Once the Camera locks on to its target, it will rarely go.

The Lumix S1H offers a shutter speed range from 1/16000 to 60 seconds.

Exposure

Panasonic Lumix S1H offers Excellent Exposure Control. You can use the ISO Range from 100 to 51200, which can be extended up to ISO 50 to 204,800.

The Camera also lets you choose at which ISO it should apply Noise Reduction. I recommend you avoid using high ISO as much as you can.

The Camera uses Dual Native ISO Technology. That gives you more control over the Camera. You could manually set or let the Camera choose the best setting in auto mode.

Panasonic recommends using the Auto Settings rather than a manual for Better Results. But, you are free to experiment.

Overall, Panasonic Lumix S1H gives you more Exposure Control than any other Camera on the Market.

Panasonic Lumix S1H Video Quality

You can check out the Video Quality of the Panasonic Lumix S1H Below.

4K Video

Panasonic Lumix S1H is a Beast Camera for videography and Filmmaking. You can Record 6K, 5K, and 4K Videos without any Trade-offs.

You can shoot 6K Videos at up to 24 FPS, 4K Videos at up to 60 FPS, and Full HD Videos at up to 120 FPS in both 8-Bit and 10-Bit.

You can use Anamorphic Lenses with the Lumix S1H to Record broadcast format videos directly from the Camera.

The cooling Fan keeps the Camera Cool while recording at Higher Frame Rates.

You will get Clear and Sharp Videos with Improved Autofocus of the Camera. Although the Autofocus System of the Camera Works decently during Low Lights. But Lights will make the AutoFocus work even better.

You can Take Advantage of the Dual Native ISO System of the Camera.

Panasonic made some smart decisions with the auto-correction processes of the Camera. You get to choose a lot of specific changes during Post-Processing.

And Image Stabilization is one of the Top-Notch on the Market. You will have a Smoothest Video Recording with its Stabilization.

Overall, the Lumix S1H is one of the Best Premium Mirrorless Video Cameras for Professional Filmmakers.

Full HD Videos

Panasonic Lumix S1H can Record Excellent Quality Full HD Videos. You can Record Full HD Videos at up to 120 FPS in 10-bit colors.

The Autofocus and Image Stabilization System works Excellently with this Camera. You get to choose from various available frame rates and color depths.

And Panasonic made it easy to choose your desired frame rate with filters. You can easily apply multiple filters in the menu system to filter by frame rate, Quality, and color depths.

You can record Unlimited Full HD Videos until you run out of storage space.

I loved the many video modes Panasonic provided to choose from. Some of them include Cinelike Gamma, V-log/V-Gamut, and HDR in HLG.

Also, there are 14 stops of Dynamic Range when shooting with V-log/V-Gamut. That makes the Camera capable of recording for Netflix.

Overall, it is one of the Best Panasonic Video Cameras for Filmmakers.

Vlogging

Vlogging with this Panasonic Lumix S1H is an Overkill. You get to see the Best Video Quality paired up with Fast AutoFocus and Image Stabilization System.

Although, the Weight of the S1H is Quite Heavy and makes it hard to hold it for a long time. But the Camera itself is Very Powerful if you put aside its Weight for a Minute.

The Build Quality is Excellent and has Weather Sealing that makes it Splash, Dust, and Freeze-Resistant.

You can take this Camera anywhere you wish and have faith in it to work at its best. The video quality of the Camera is what makes this camera special.

You can Record 6K, 5K, and 4K Videos for your Vlogs. And You can also Record Slow-Motion Videos in Full HD at up to 120 FPS.

You are going to love its ease of use. The Menu System of the Camera is Easy to Navigate. And the Layout of the buttons is also very nice.

I like how Panasonic put a recording button in front of the Camera in case you need it. Since the Lumix S1H is easy to use, you will need to Spend Time with the Camera to get the most out of it.

The Autofocus of the Camera may be of concern for most vloggers. Even though the Camera has an Improved Autofocus System, you will find it Decent in Low-Light Conditions. The Camera tends to lose Focus on its subject in Dark Lighting.

Apart from that, the Camera has a fantastic stabilization system to compensate for hand vibrations.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H is an Overpowered Camera for Vlogging.

Audio

The Audio of the Panasonic Lumix S1H Received Significant Improvements. You can adjust the audio recording level from -18db to +12 dB.

You can also Mute the Record Altogether if you want Zero Audio. The Audio Quality of the Internal Mic of the Camera is Decent.

Vloggers are going to love the Audio Quality of the built-in mic. But I recommend using an external mic if you use this Camera for production.

Also, you can record dual-channel audio with this Camera. The Audio Quality of the Panasonic Lumix S1H has improved.

But you might still want to use an external mic for production-level audio.

Panasonic Lumix S1H Features

You can check out the Features of the Panasonic Lumix S1H Below.

Weight & Portability

The Panasonic Lumix S1H is a Heavy Camera. It Weighs about 1164 Grams with Battery and recording media.

I recommend using a gimbal or a tripod to shoot for an extended period. Otherwise, It might feel heavy on your neck.

And the Camera is not bulky in size as a DSLR camera. But, its Weight and additional accessories make up for the Weight.

Build Quality

Panasonic Lumix S1H has a Magnesium Alloy Chassis. The Camera is built like a tank to endure severe weather conditions.

It is weather-sealed, splash-proof, and dust-proof to prevent any internal components from getting affected by the environment.

You can easily use this Camera pretty much anywhere you want. And the working temperature of the Camera is between -10 ℃ and 40 ℃, making it freeze-resistant.

The Camera is built for rugged use, but that does not mean you can constantly drop it.

Lumix S1H also incorporates a cooling fan to overcome overheating problems. That provides unlimited video recording ability.

Ergonomics & Comfort

Panasonic Lumix S1H is built with Magnesium Alloy Body. The Camera feels sturdy, and you will have an excellent and deep grip on holding the Camera.

It balances well with long and heavy lenses. S1H sits comfortably in your hands but feels heavy after prolonged usage.

The Layout of the buttons is nice and easy to reach. With many customization options at your disposal, you can make the Camera truly yours.

The Navigation is also Very Easy to Understand. But I recommend Filmmakers Spend Time with the Camera to get the most out of it.

The menu system of the Camera is easy to navigate. But, New Panasonic Users will have to Spend Some time with the Lumix S1H.

The Touchscreen LCD also makes it Easy to Navigate through the menu. You can also use Soft Keys as Shortcuts on the Screen.

The Quick Menu of the Panasonic S1H is Very Helpful. You can Save Settings on a few custom positions on the dial like C1, C2, etc.

This helps in Switching from video to photo setting with one move without affecting any of them.

Overall, the menu system of the Panasonic Lumix S1H is easy to navigate. But it has a learning curve for New Panasonic Users.

Viewfinder

The Panasonic Lumix S1H comes with an Electronic Viewfinder. It has an OLED Display with a 5.76-million Dot Resolution.

You will get 100% coverage of your composition and approx 0.78x magnification. Lumix S1H’s Viewfinder has up to a 120fps refresh rate.

You will have one of the smoothest experiences with an EVF on the Market. Although it features a round eye cap rather than a traditional square one.

This may and may not be a problem for you. It is a matter of preferences.

There is little to no lag in the EVF mechanism to make it a much closer experience to that of an OVF.

The main advantage of an EVF is the aided tools you can take help of while looking into an EVF. And the Camera is filled with professional help tools like waveforms, vector forms, etc.

You will experience no blackout during the continuous shooting mode.

But, if you find that the EVF turns off itself when you are not looking into it, then don’t be afraid. It has an eye sensor right below the EVF, so it knows when you are looking into it.

This saves unnecessary spending on battery life.

A feature lets you turn off the viewfinder and screen to save even more battery life.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H has one of the best EVF on the market.

Screen

The Panasonic Lumix S1H provides a Bright and Clear Screen. A Tilting Screen has become a kind of mandatory for modern cameras.

With Panasonic Lumix S1h, You get a 3.2-inch Free-Angle Tilting Touchscreen LCD. This is handy when you want to shoot from a difficult angle.

The screen has a resolution of about 2.3-million dot. There is also a top status screen to quickly look at your current settings.

The Camera offers seven brightness levels with this Camera, and you can adjust accordingly. You can easily see it on this screen under a bright sun.

You can also use this screen to navigate the menu or Touch Focus feature.

Overall, the screen of the Panasonic Lumix S1H is large enough and easy to see under the bright sun.

Battery Life

The Panasonic Lumix S1H offers you about 440 Shots in One Full Charge. This is a decent number looking at the average battery life of modern mirrorless cameras.

Although the Camera provides several settings, you can use it to save more battery. You can either turn off the main screen or the EVF.

And you can also set the Camera to go to sleep and only wake up when the record button is pushed halfway.

That way, you will definitely save a significant amount of battery.

But, you have to be careful about the temperatures as well. If the surrounding temperature of the battery is on either extreme, the battery will not perform ideally.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H provides decent battery life and various options to charge.

Connectivity

The Panasonic Lumix S1H offers you Wifi and Bluetooth Connectivity.

You can connect your phone to the S1H to use it remotely if you don’t want to be around the Camera.

You don’t get Direct Access to Geo Tagging. But it is Available Via the Phone App.

The app experience of the Panasonic Image app is a bit vintage. It keeps disconnecting from the Camera every now and then.

Overall, the Panasonic Lumix S1H provides you with decent connectivity options.

You also get a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen LCD and a top status display with the Camera.
